Patterson Library Friends Donate New Scanner & More

Thanks to the Patterson Library Friends, the library now has a state of the art public scanner. The scanner is one of several gifts donated to the library by the Friends group, which aims to support library services and programs through fundraising efforts. With a very successful first year of fundraising events that included the book sale and holiday ornament sale, the Friends were able to purchase new iPads for the Family Center, a brand new book drop at the Putnam Lake Market, and provide funding for the museum pass program as well as pay for enhancements to the community room. Special thanks to Petersen’s Patterson Greenhouses, Cartwright & Daughters Tent and Party Rentals, Town of Patterson, Putnam County Sheriff’s Department & Clancy Moving Systems!

We Have Rain Barrels!

Thanks to the generosity of The Brothers That Just Do Gutters, our rain barrel project is complete! The company, located in LaGrangeville, donated time and materials and added gutters to our Garden Tool Lending Shed, which will fill our rain barrels, aiding in our effort to conserve water. The collected water will be used to water our vegetable garden and plants on the library grounds.IMG_7616
